Restaurant Review – Aria Ristorante

Aria Ristorante is an Italian restaurant located right beside Union Station, which makes it a convenient visit for anyone who works or lives in Toronto. I went there for the first time this Winter, and I was very impressed.  Everything about this place feels upscale – the decor is beautiful and modern, the service is impeccable, and the food is so picturesque it made it to my website header. It’s no wonder they’ve hosted weddings there. It’s gorgeous.

They start you off with a plate of freshly baked bread with some butter while you browse the menu.

I was there for Winterlicious, so I only had a few options to choose from their price fixed menu. Since the food there isn’t halal, I stuck to the seafood/vegetarian options, and I was honestly not disappointed at all.

For my starter, I ordered the chickpea soup, pictured below. It was creamy, warm, and oh so beautiful. Just look at it. How can soup look more photogenic than me??

My entree was the salmon, served on a bed of vegetables and boy it did not disappoint. The skin was crisp and the meat was tender, just how I like it. With an ice cold glass of coke, it was mm-mm delicious.

The grand finale was this bad boy right here. The texture reminded me of tiramisu, but it had the flavour of chai, not coffee. I don’t even know what to say. It blew me away. I want to have this every day. I wish they had this on their regular menu – I would probably become a regular customer for this.

The food is so beautiful I am still speechless. Just look at that. Look. I’m just going to end this post on a high note and leave it at that.
